Muscle Tribe of Danger and Excellence - ...and Bears (2013) EP

Not even four months after their acclaimed debut album Eagles and Chainsaws, the Muscle Tribe releases their EP "...and Bears" as a logical followup and the missing chapter. Two new songs and a cover of a lovely kid's tune about baking a cake, combined with the fine artwork of band's dear friend Marija Anušić of RussianDoll Illustrations make for a great standalone eight-minute experience as well as combined with the Eagles and Chainsaws album (hence the title), and pretty much show that the musical ground the band has chosen to cover has even more vague limits than you have thought.

The Gingerdead Men (tGDM) are a bad-ass, rock’n roll band. They shun trends and embrace complete creative freedom. They think rock’n roll should be loud, to the point, and capable of shaking your pants and bobbing your head. Their lyrics tell tall tales about the future, the past, monsters and more. Somehow, it works. Well. tGDM believe that massive amplification is ALWAYS the answer. Rock on.

Tsar Bomba - Silent Queen (2013)

Tsar Bomba is formed in Paris, uniting old friends from various musical backgrounds. The line-up finds their sound and writes their first songs, then initiates several concerts in the French capital.

The aerial beat of the drums contributes to the alchemy between a huge gain guitar and a heavy fuzzy bass which support efficiently a clear and rough vocal. The resulting atmosphere reminds us the darkness of Acid Bath, the classical bluesy groove of Kyuss, the might of Karma to Burn or the thick and stoned ambience of Electric Wizard.

Despite the band's youth, the Parisian combo is just back from the recording studio with a unique sounding debut album.

It’s the combination of high intensity rock n roll, working class frustration, that inspire and shape the sounds of "The Outlaws of Zen"; a quartet from the Tri-Cities, Michigan. Formed in March of 2011 from the dissolution of a previous band, founding members Korey Gillespie on guitar, and drummer, Travis Evans, begin creating a new sound based on their shared creative perspectives. The Outlaws Of Zen live by the three R's of the heavy music world: Retro. Riff. Rock. While briefly constructing new material as a two piece, they discovered the need for a broader sound. Through mutual friends, bass player, Tommy Koppman was discovered in July 2011 and quickly added his unique bass flavor to the sound. In October 2011, vocalist Joe Gibson joined the trio bringing lyrical creativity to the band’s high energy instrumental tracks. The combination of these four musicians created an instantaneous change in the energy and the direction of the band’s sound, fueling the need to play live, record, and share. On February 11th, 2012 they brought their pummeling brand of rock to The Vault in Bay City, MI for their debut performance; blanketing the audience with thick waves of sound and contagious energy. In April 2012, the Outlaws began the process of recording a 5 song demo; so stay tuned for the release of “Don't Bother Getting Up, We'll Let Ourselves In”

Bastard of the Skies/ Catatomic "Split LP" (2010)

Hailing from Blackburn, Lancashire, Bastard of the Skies have been spewing their own, uniquely filthy, racket since 2006. Through two albums, an EP and a Split LP the band have cemented their own sound by welding massive, lurching, riffs to sludgy noise and discordant melody.

Gigging heavily across the UK the band has evolved into a brutal and unrelenting monster. The drums pound, the bass rumbles, the riffs crush. Even the occasional moments of melodic respite pave the way for even bigger, more devastating and ferocious, riffs. Along the way the band are proud to have shared the stage with such titans as Baroness, Kylesa, Today Is The Day, Jucifer, Black Sun, Lazarus Blackstar, Volition, Conan, Alunah, Undersmile, Witchsorrow, The Sontaran Experiment, Orange Goblin, Ultraphallus and many more.
